Tuesday, 24 March 2020 @ 6:00p ET – In this webinar, participants will get an in-depth look at the various pieces of lighting paperwork that are needed to prepare, load in, program, and archive a show including lighting plots, schedules, cue sheets, work notes, and magic sheets. We will look at different approaches to drafting, paperwork creation, and information management including Vectorworks Spotlight, Lightwright 6, and Mike’s Paperwork Management Portal.
Sunday, 22 March 2020 @ 2:00p ET – I’ll be doing a live demo of how my FileMaker-based lighting paperwork tool works.
In this workshop, participants will get an overview of theatrical lighting technology and design including the science, the art, and the profession of being a working lighting designer. This is an introductory overview of concepts such as the functions and qualities of light and will feature an in-depth look at a production design process from start to finish as well as a discussion of the different jobs and responsibilities of the various people who make up a lighting team.
